Honestly! I am so happy it’s Friday, although to be honest with all of you, I really can’t wait till Sunday…
You know me, I can be very active, or I can become a bit of a couch potato (mmm…. potatoes…)
This week has been quite interesting. First of all, I went to zumba on Monday again. It was tiring, and my arms and legs were killing me, but I survived. Since I stayed up late chatting with a friend on Whatsapp, the next day I was exhausted, so I was in bed by 9pm. Way to waste an evening! Truth is my body really needed it.
On Wednesday, I went out for drinks with some girls from work. A nice part of my job is that I am a member of the Social Committee so we organise parties and other activities. This means that we need to choose venues as well! We went scounting a couple of places, and then had a drink. It was great, so much fun, and we also had a good brainstorming with ideas for parties.
Afterwards, I tried to go back home and it turned out to be a bit of a quest. I forgot Cannon Street is closed after 9pm, so I had to change here and there to get to London Bridge, only to hop on a train that didn’t stop at my station, and having to take a bus back home. When I got home, I was shattered.
Yesterday, it was time to go back to boxercise after the Christmas holidays and my migraines last week. How I have missed it. Of course I’m in pain everywhere today, and many of my muscles feel sore and stiff. It was worth it, though. We learnt how to jab step (or whatever it’s called) and got to punch the bag quite a few times!
Today, I hurt everywhere.
I am going out with a friend I haven’t seen in a while later tonight, and I’m tired. I am looking forward to some catching up, and some dancing and drinking, but I also looking forward to getting in bed at some point tonight. Tomorrow, I am attending a wedding, which is going to be fun (and tiring) as well!
Since I’ve been really busy all week at work, and I haven’t stopped much in my spare time, I can’t wait for Sunday, when I’ll be able to rest and be a couch potato for a bit.
On another set of news, after a conversation with some friends, I’ve decided to download Tinder on my phone. I’m sure you know what it is, but for those of you who are still free from the clutches of the thousands of apps out there (keep it that way, don’t come to the dark side!), Tinder is an app that shows you people from Facebook (supposedly friends of friends of friends and such, although I’ve already seen a friend of mine in there) and you swipe right or left, depending whether you like them or not. If both of you like each other, then you can get in touch.
So far, it seems a bit shallow: minimum profiling, a couple of “likes in common”, and a few pictures here and there, but it’s quite fun!
I was happy with my 2 matches so far (three!), but when my friend joined, he had about a million matches after only a couple of hours… But he’s cuter than me!
The jury is still out on this one, but it’s been quite fun so far! At least I’m not getting any messages like he does:
I’ll let you know what I and my friend encounter in Tinder, and maybe share a few conversations! In the meantime, swipe, swipe, swipe…
