Hello!
How is your week going? Mine is a bit crazy, and has been quite busy so far…
For a few days now, I’ve been trying to have a look at the blog stats, to see which days get the most traffic, see if there are any topics out there that get shared and all that. Unfortunately, I’ve been too busy and too distracted to focus on a long sheet of figures that so far don’t make any sense to me. You know how I roll, if it’s too difficult or weird, or I don’t know how to tackle it, it gets relegated to the bottom of my to-do list, until the little bulb in my brain lights up and I find a way to work on it.
In the meantime, I had also been wondering about polls. I’ve seen some around in blogs, and WordPress has also done some posts about using them. I wonder. I wonder if readers actually like polls, if it increases page views and if it helps with interaction.
The little cogs in my brain started turning and since I hadn’t used them much for a while, they were a bit rusty. However, after much thinking, I shouted eureka! and startled everyone around me.
How about… I asked my readers (that’s you!) which topics are their favourite and therefore, which topics they would like to see more of here in the blog… It sounds like a great idea, don’t you think?
So, as you can imagine, I decided to go ahead and do it. Here it is, my first ever poll! Now, those of you who know I work in Market Research, please don’t judge me. It’s not meant to be an amazing one-question survey that will end hunger in the world. It might be a silly question, it might be a bit leading, it might not have every answer you could think of (there’s an “other” in there, if you want to expand or suggest topics) but it’s mine and I love it.
Without further ado, here it is. I would love if you told me which up to three topics are your favourite and you can’t get tired of reading here.
The poll will be available until end of day Saturday 16th August (UK time, folks), just because I need to have a deadline so I can then check stuff and publish results on Sunday, if you’re curious about it all.
Let me know then! What are your three favourite topics I should write about more? If you want to expand on your answers, hit the comments (not too hard, we don’t want to hurt them) below, I promise I read all of them!
