As I write today’s post, I’m not sure I’m going to make it on time for it to be a Sunday one…
This weekend has been very quiet, and I couldn’t be happier about it. First of all, on Saturday I volunteered at the British Heart Foundation 10k run in Greenwich. Once again, it was a lot of fun.
I came back home afterwards and spent my day relaxing, pretty much. I watched a film that I wanted to write about, Fast Girls which I thought was going to be the typical stupid girly film, but it actually wasn’t, or at least not entirely.
Today, I started the day by doing the fitness test for the Body Project. It’s fair to say that I’m not fit at the moment. Not only I had to weigh myself and take measurements, but also had to do the plank, push ups, the ski sit (or something like that), burpees and run 1k as fast as I could. I was winded when I finished. Not good.
I went shopping afterwards, and spent a lot of money on vegetables, mainly. I hope it’s worth it, because I’m not seeing a lot of the stuff I normally like eating on the food plan. So far, I’ve prepared my lunch for tomorrow, which is a small tuna, asparagus and bean salad. It looks really nice, and I’m sure it’s filling enough, but boy does it look a small portion. I guess it’s the appropriate size, but I’ve accustomed myself to eat more. We’ll see how the first week goes. I’m hopeful!
After that, I’ve pretty much spent my day between the computer and the TV. I watched Zombieland which, if you haven’t seen yet, I highly recommend it. After, flicking through the channels, we saw they were showing King Kong and we watched it too. We missed the beginning however. My brother had already seen both, but I hadn’t and it was something. I think I’ll probably write about those films soon enough, or at least do a very brief review.
In the meantime, I think it’s time to go to sleep, so I don’t fail already tomorrow morning at being healthy.
I haven’t forgotten, I mentioned I would share the poll results, if you were curious about them. To be honest with you, there isn’t much to share. The most responses I got were about geek and cinema stuff (coming your way!), plus a couple of time-wasters. Ah, well, I guess you guys are not really into getting involved here and exchanging opinions. That works for me as well, if you’re just happy to read what I write, and keep your thoughts to yourselves. Just let me know if you ever want to change that!
Until next post (which will be a film review, I think), take care!
