Month: March 2015

Another week, another battle

I was going to start this post with some upbeat, positive energy intro about it being a new week and all that. You know, yay! Going by the last weeks, I’m going to write something about getting back up and blah, blah, and within 20 minutes, karma, the universe, or whoever is in charge, is going to make something happen again. So instead, what I’m going to say to this week is, bring it on, b****!. It was a good thing I didn’t do as I initially intended, wrote the post last night and schedule it for this morning (which means, I’m writing this on my phone, while on the happy train to work, so forgive any typos). As I expected, something already happened. As I was drying my hair, my hair dryer suddenly stopped working. Normally, I would go on a mini-rant, and mostly worry about the bad hair day ahead. However, I was expecting it. Well, not it-it, I was expecting something. I simply unplugged the dryer, ruffled my hair a bit, sighed …

More things that make me happy

To be honest, I’m probably even going to repeat myself when listing some of those, but that’s how life works sometimes. Just a tiny bit of background here… I’m not having the best of times. I seem to be running after my own self, trying to catch up. My health isn’t as good as it could be (nothing life threatening, don’t worry), and whenever I get back up to work out, something else happens that forces me to stop (like …

Finally March!

Happy Monday and good morning! A new week again, and the first one of March, which makes me very happy indeed. The weather has improved quite a bit these days in London, with the sun shining and the temperatures rising little by little. I’ve had trouble finding my sunglasses (but I found them yesterday), so I’ve walked around pretty much blinded for the past few days. No more! Last week was hectic. My workouts were on paused because the week before I woke up with pain on my neck, and for a couple of days I wasn’t able to turn my head to any side. Finally, I’m feeling my whole range of movements back and I feel like I can hit the gym again (which I’ll be doing tonight). I wish I could have a whole full month with no injuries or pains of any sort, because this is already getting old! I’ve been very busy at work, getting ready for a trade show. We left the office at 2pm on Tuesday and went to …
