Adventures in the city

You know how I always turn everything into a quest, right? I think I’ve mentioned it before. Once thing is sure, my life doesn’t get too boring. Whenever I start getting bored, it’s like subconsciously my mind flips a switch and then I end up doing something very random and weird. And I stop being bored (many times, I also start being tired). On Monday I went to the house for the night and decided it was a good day to start a new workout plan. Since I didn’t have any weights or machines with me (I don’t normally carry those around), I decided Freeletics was the way to go. If you haven’t heard about it yet, it’s basically a series of workouts (with wonderful Greek gods’ names!) which are designed to be done with no equipment, and just your body. Also, it seems they’re designed to be performed in 2×2 metres, so there’s definitely no excuse. What this means in reality is a lot of high intensity, very taxing types of exercises (think burpees, …

La Sylphide

As you know, I went to see La Sylphide at the English National Opera on Wednesday. It was my second ballet ever, and I loved it. Finally, we decided to eat in Bella Italia, near the venue, because she could have pasta and I could have a simple salad with no weird ingredients. I had to ask the waitress about the dressing, but it was just olive oil and lemon, so it was all safe. We arrived …

Update on progress

If I’m completely honest with all of you, I haven’t done that much this weekend. At first I thought I would have time to make another dent at my stuff, but I spent Saturday running errands. On Sunday I had photos taken, thanks to a voucher I bought a while ago, and today, well, I haven’t done much either. That’s the beauty of weekends, isn’t it? I am doing this crazy overhaul of my life at the moment, getting rid of everything that seems to be weighing me down. Unfortunately, there are some aspects I’m stuck with for the foreseeable future, but hey, baby steps. Rome wasn’t conquered in a day, and all that. So anyway, as you know, I’m getting rid of a lot of my stuff, to create space for myself, as well as calmness and wellness or whatever. Anything sending negative vibes my way …
