Welcome cards and gifts from friends

And just like that, it’s done

This is it. I’m moved. I still haven’t closed my old flat, of course, but I’m typing this from the dinning table in my new flat, and it feels weird. It has been a crazy couple of weeks. There were talks of moving already last year, and I almost left my flat back in November or so (it never happened, for different reasons). Now, the day has come, and I’m here. One thing I have learnt is that no matter how much rubbish you get rid of, you probably still have way too much stuff. I can’t think how it would have been if I hadn’t discarded all those clothes, books, DVDs and papers. Still, I have way too much kitchen stuff, especially for baking (which I haven’t done in a while, because of lack of space), and crafts. Lots of craft materials. I believe (and I might be wrong, because I stopped paying attention at some point), that I have at least four boxes filled to the top with yarn, fabric and filling. Then, …

Drop it like a squat!

The week is almost over, at least for me, since I’m off on Friday, and as usual, I’m busy (I book the day off because I needed it, and I’m actually considering working for a few hours, type of busy). The week started with rushing to catch the happy train. I almost missed it, but managed to reach my carriage just as the doors were opening (to be fair, I could have always jumped in a different carriage anyway). As it’s becoming customary, I was busy at work. Yesterday was chaotic. I spent my morning travelling across London to go to the hospital for an appointment (spoiler, I’m still not done and have to go two more times at least), and then hurrying back to the office, before going out again for a meeting (which was a bit of a waste of time, but that’s a different story). Today has been very busy at work (can you start to see a pattern here?), as we’re trying to finalise two events, and time is pressing. I …

TGIF. No, seriously.

It’s always interesting when I learn of someone else in my circle who reads this blog… I never really expect people who know me to actually read it, but I guess curiosity is quite a strong temptation to resist. First of all, let me clarify something: I’m not in such a dark place as to do something silly. A few people have talked to me since my last post, asked me how I was feeling (aw, thanks guys) and then expressed they were worried about me. Don’t be, I’m alright. Everyone has periods of time when they feel a bit down and others when everything seems to look bright. Right now, I’m not in a pitch-black place, let’s say it’s more of a twilight area (not the sparkly type though!), but that’s the beauty of life, it’s a bloody roller coaster. If everything was peachy all the time it would be pretty boring. Last weekend I was feeling completely out of life points. You know those video games when you get hit and your stamina …

Why am I always so busy?

The last week or so has been madness. Feeble excuse, I know, but I haven’t had the energy to post. I wonder how people manage to publish every single day, I’m guessing that’s their main job? OK, fine, I’ve been on holidays, so I can’t use work as an excuse, but seriously. I have just checked and wow, it’s been 15 days since my last entry. I get it now why you’re upset. I even get that you barely remember me!! OK, so here’s the update for the last 15 days! Saturday 13th July. The day started well. I went to my guitar class and it was great. This time, I arrived with plenty of time, so I managed to get my guitar tuned by the teacher. Also, my nails were perfectly clipped so I had a better grip! We practised some blues basic notes, as well as more chord changing (A to D to A to E to D…) which I still suck at, but I did pretty well considering I hadn’t had any …
