last projects done

It’s been a while since my last post, apologies for that. As usual, I’ve been busy, first with the ski trip, then my parents came to visit, so I’ve been off and doing stuff. Good news is I have quite a few things to talk about here now! For starters, I can now disclose the toy I was working on, as it’s been given to the person already and he liked it! I did a Cthulhu for my brother, following the pattern here. I made some small changes, like the eyes – they look more manga in my version! Also, as I’m not that good crocheting yet, I’m sure I made some mistakes as well. However, I have to say that pattern is great and I’m really happy I found it! Thanks for sharing it! My brother really liked the toy, and he even posted a picture on his twitter! After, I decided to finish the Sackboy I was doing for my mum, following this pattern. Again, it was a success! Thanks Nerdigurumi for sharing …

a bit of this and that…

I went snowboarding yesterday and I have pain everywhere today! First of all, the button lift is a device of hell… It’s definitely not designed for snowboarders, or at least that’s how it seems to me. I have so much pain where the bar was pressing my leg that I even got a bruise! The whole evening was fun though. I fell many times, but luckily I’m still on one piece! The first couple of runs, as usual, were really scary and I could feel all my body so tense that I was even shaking! After going down the slope a few times, I managed to relax a bit. I got to talk to many different people (mainly because, well, I speak to everyone everywhere!) and they taught me how to walk like a penguin with the board still attached to my feet. I don’t manage much, but I did managed a couple of steps without actually falling on the ground! I still don’t manage to do proper turns, or to only snowboard with my …

about colour correcting

I had such a busy day at work… It’s amazing how suddenly things can pile up, especially when everyone wants your help. Today it was month’s end, so Finance were frantic to get all the phasing correctly. I had to work closely with one girl in order to get all the figures right for someone else’s work, not mine. You can imagine how long it took us to make sense of what was going on, especially as none of us had seen those figures before! After being at it for one hour on my own, and about another hour with my laptop at her desk, we managed to make sense of it. When I returned to my desk, I checked all those emails I kept seeing popping up while working on the numbers, and the list was endless! For some reason, people from other teams are asking me to be in their out of office whenever they are away, even if we don’t really have much to work in common, they’re copying me in their …

projects update

Hello there! I haven’t updated much lately, I know. I could give a million reasons (give or take) but they would all sound as excuses… The main reason is that I haven’t had much time… but also I haven’t been much in the mood. Since I started in my new role (yay!) I’ve been so busy at work, than the last thing I want to do at home is think. Think about what to write, or think about doing stuff. Basically, I’ve been watching series these past days (I know, I know, I should have been writing instead). However, I have taken up on a couple of hobbies… Last Thursday I had my first sewing class, and we did a cushion cover! I think it’s quite pretty! I was very pleased with the result, as I was expecting something horrible and crooked to turn up, but it looks nice. We also did some fabric buttons for the cushion. I was so slow sewing them though that I decided to finish it at home. When I …
