There and here, and there and then back again

Holiday blues. Honestly, what’s the deal with that? How is it possible to feel so down just because of a few days off? As you might recall, first went on a ski trip with colleagues. We left early on a Sunday morning. My plan was to sleep for a few hours, but despite getting to bed, I wasn’t able to fall asleep. I’m guessing it was because I was too scared of sleeping through the alarm and missing the flight or something. The ski trip was a lot of fun. I decided not to go crazy on the alcohol and although I missed some fun nights, I don’t regret it as I was able to snowboard all day long. I’ve gotten much better (at last!) and even if I fell like a million times, I enjoyed it a lot. I used my GoPro camera to record my descent, but the footage isn’t great, mainly because I’m not an awesome snowboarder yet, so it’s a bit boring… One of the days, I teamed up with a …

Chilling… literally!

Ugh… This week… I’ve been really busy at work, and completely spaced out, so tasks that would take me an hour to complete would take me two. What a pain! Good thing is that I’ve spent a lot of time looking at basic coding (html and CSS) so that’s kept me entertained. Also, I’ve had some friction with a couple of people, which had me on edge for most of the week, and despite the overall happy mode that I’ve grown used to maintain, I’ve had a sub-layer of annoyance all week long. I was supposed, as well, to go on a date on Wednesday, but the guy cancelled. I knew it was likely to happen (or not happen, actually), since he had told me before, but I think it annoyed me to have to chase for news. Luckily, I am one to find a plan whenever I need one, and definitely have back-up plans all around, and I went to have dim sum for dinner with my friend. On Thursday, I had another date, …

Playing with ink!

Hello everyone! I guess this post can be included in the Handmade Life category (yay!!), and it’s a good thing, since it’s been a long time since I last posted about that sort of topic… so, let me place the pretty title below, and let’s begin! On Monday, I went to a screen printing workshop at The Book Club. I had never done screen printing before, but it’s something I’ve wanted to try for a while now. To play with inks and fabric, and create something unique? Totally my thing! At first, I was going with a friend, but I finally went there on my own, which is something I tend to do quite often lately, just try stuff by myself and, you know, jump in there and see what happens. I arrived early, and it was quite intimidating. I had never been in that place before, and there were people sitting around in groups, drinking and chatting, and then me. What do you do when you’re on your own, in a bar you have …

Writing about nothing…

I was writing a post and half way through I pressed ctrl+z by mistake and it all went poof!, deleted. Ah well, round two, I guess… I was just saying that the weekend has been interesting, yet boring. Friday was nice, I went for a drink with my date, and while the bar was cool, and the views were amazing, I must say that I wasn’t wowed. The girls there were dressed like bimbos, and the drinks were quite expensive (the guys were dressed as City guys, mainly, but I wouldn’t expect anything else from that area). So, slightly disappointed by the place. http://instagram.com/p/kaiSItwlzl/ We had fun though. Even though we’re definitely not meant for each other, we laughed and chatted for a few hours, before trying to brave the elements and fight the wind that was raging outside. As usual, coming back home turned into a quest. I had to take a different route, as I had just missed my train, and I ended up in the middle of nowhere, waiting for a bus …
