Flock of birds tattoo on shoulder

Tattoo… me

Tonight I’m going to the ballet with Su, and I’m really excited about it! We are going to see La Sylphide, a very old ballet set in Scotland. I had never heard about this ballet, but one of my colleagues had free tickets and she couldn’t attend, so I took them instead. Let’s see, I might write about it on Friday if I think it’s worth a post… Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure the ballet is awesome, but since I won’t be able to take notes, I might not remember enough details to write about it; that, and I also know nothing about ballet! I saw they were asking about tattoos in today’s prompt on The Daily Post, Tattoo….You?, and asking what our tattoo means if we have one (and what we would get tattooed if we don’t have one). I don’t know how much I’ve talked about my tattoos (or showed you!), but since it’s a topic I really like, I thought I would write about it. Did you know I have five …

Who are you going to believe in?

I know these past days (weeks) I’ve been a bit on the lower end of the happy scale. I’ve either complained a lot, or disappeared completely. Oops! One of the things I’ve noticed (and I’m sure it’s happened to many of you) is that when you don’t feel great, when your health isn’t what it’s supposed to be, your mind decides that it’s the best time to go in for the kill and really fail you. You start pointing all your flaws out to yourself, or you lose all your self-confidence, or whatever it is that gets your kicks, so to speak. It’s like we enjoy putting ourselves down when we’re already pretty low. Whenever I have the flu or a bad cold, and I’m in bed shivering, with temperature, coughing, sneezing, and overall in not a pretty state, I always notice how weak I’m feeling, and realise how fragile the human body is, and how little I can do to cure myself once I’m sick. True, eating healthy and all that should help prevent …

He’s a miracle!

When you’re not feeling well, and once the migraines sort of go away and it’s just tiredness (even though you’ve slept for hours and hours everyday), there isn’t much to do at home except watching TV from the sofa. One of my favourite pastimes is watching series. I know, it’s sort of lame. I could say one of my favourite things to do is… I don’t know, something much cooler, but the truth is I love watching series. I don’t normally watch actual TV. I’m not one to watch the news, or discussion programs, and all that, or QI, or Top Gear, as my brother does. This past week I watched a few episodes of Ninja Warrior UK and other variations, which I discovered make me feel super stressed, but I’m not really into that sort of thing. Series, on the other hand, well, I could spend hours in front of my TV or laptop, watching episode after episode. At any given time, I’m following at least 3-4 different ones. At the moment, we have …

Snow everywhere

Snowboarding at Snowboxx

This past week has been an amazing week. I’ve been doing one of my favourite things everyday, and met with a bunch of great people. This is how it went… Unfortunately, I’m back from my one week holiday to the mountains. There were a lot of ups and downs, but overall it was an awesome week. It feels like ages ago since I headed to the airport with my suitcase, and it feels even longer since I last went to work. I’m not looking forward to it. I’m going to try to remember as much as I can, without boring you with all the details, as we all know nobody wants to hear other people going on and on about their holidays. The only main downside to this trip is that I didn’t take my DSLR, because I don’t trust my snowboarding skills enough to bring it with me on the slopes, which means that all pictures were taken with my phone or similar devices. I did take my GoPro a couple of days, but …
